24.03.2014 Change in leadership at Zeppelin group

At the beginning of the year the Zeppelin Group management board appointed Dieter Brücher, 61, as interim head of its plant engineering division Zeppelin Systems. He replaces Bernhard Scherer who had been chairman of Zeppelin Systems since late 2010 and in January was reported to have been assigned other responsibilities within the group.

“I am very pleased that we have gained such an internationally experienced and highly competent manager as Dieter Brücher for our enterprise. With his extensive knowledge and experience of the industry, he meets all of the prerequisites for achieving our strategic goals in the plant engineering business unit,” said Peter Gerstmann, management board chairman of Zeppelin GmbH. Immediately prior to the appointment of Bernhard Scherer three and a half years ago, Gerstmann had himself been chairman of Friedrichshafen-based Zeppelin Systems, subsequently becoming top executive of the group.  www.zeppelin-systems.com
