31.03.2014 Mauser increases stake in Chinese IBC joint venture

Mauser Group, Bruehl, Germany, is increasing its shareholding in the Shanghai-based IBC joint venture, Fanshun Mauser Shanghai Packaging Co., Ltd. Mauser Holding International GmbH and Shanghai Fanshun Company, Ltd, a leading rigid packaging producer in China, agreed to increase the Mauser stake in their joint venture from 32.5% to 50%. The agreement was signed on 23rd March in Shanghai.
As part of the new arrangement, the IBC production assets of Mauser Packaging (Jiangsu) Co. Ltd will be transferred to the joint venture. Fanshun Mauser Shanghai Packaging Co., Ltd. will continue to supply the growing Chinese market for high quality IBCs from both locations, Shanghai and JiangYin. Philippe Larretgère has been appointed general manager of the jv and is relocating to Shanghai. “The renewed joint venture is built on the long-standing friendship with our Chinese partner and will be the platform to further expand IBC related services," said Mauser Group CEO Hans-Peter Schaefer. www.mausergroup.com
