07.04.2014 IBC pallet offers enhanced corrosion resistance and strength

Mauser-Werke, Bruehl, Germany, has launched a new pallet design for the MAUSER SM® series of intermediate bulk containers. Building on the success of the novel composite pallet introduced by the company more than a decade ago, the new completely redesigned pallet concept is intended to further strengthen the SM’s reputation as a composite IBC built for long-term strength and optimum reusability. This latest pallet comes with pallet blocks made from recycled plastics in combination with a metal tube frame construction supporting a metal pan. “The superior corrosion resistance of the plastic drip pan and the strength of the plastic blocks in day to day handling make this pallet design a favourite compared with full metal pallets,” said Marc Loeffler, European head of technical service at Mauser Group.
A further advantage of the new pallet is its modular construction, allowing the possibility to exchange damaged parts, further enhancing its reconditioning and reuse credentials. A lighter yet at the same time stiffer trapezoid tube frame structure directly connected to the pallet’s metal base ring provides increased robustness and superior handling performance. www.mausergroup.com
