21.04.2014 Norres opens North American plant, launches new antistatic hose ranges

Norres Schlauchtechnik, Gelsenkirchen, Germany, is to locate its first North American plant in South Bend, IN, thereby creating up to 32 new high-wage jobs by 2018. The company will invest $1.87 million to purchase, renovate and equip an existing 30,000 square foot facility which is expected to become operational by end of May, serving warehouse and production operations for OEMs throughout the North American continent.

In a separate development, the German industrial hose manufacturer is now offering its suction and blast hoses for the wood industry with permanently antistatic walls without migrating antistatic agents. The TIMBERDUC® PUR 533 SE AS and TIMBERDUC PUR 534 SE AS are now flame-retardant, microbe resistant and permanently antistatic. The new hoses are used for the suction of wood dust and wood chips. The NORPLAST® PUR-CU 387 AS is now also available as standard with non-migrating antistatic agent so that it is permanently antistatic. It is used for high flow rates of extremely abrasive solids such as sand, gravel, grain, glass cullet, etc in areas exposed to explosion hazards. www.norres.com
