28.04.2014 FIBCs discharged safely, hygienically and without residue

Dinnissen Process Technology, Sevenum, the Netherlands, has developed an innovative system for emptying FIBCs safely in a particle-free environment. It can discharge up to 15 bulk bags per hour. These are first placed on a special vibrating plate and, after emptying begins, the system then stretches the bottom part of the bag. In combination with the special intermittent vibrating programme, this ensures that the FIBC can be easily and efficiently emptied without any residue remaining. As the emptying process continues, the bag is gradually stretched further to ensure that all of the contents are emptied.
Extra functionality can be provided. For example, during the emptying process, the FIBCs can be enclosed in a dustproof housing, whereby they are completely emptied and rolled up compactly during the final phase of the discharge process. The emptying station can be fitted with a dustproof seal, special valves for removing unwanted contaminants, and an automated screening system that optimises the safety and quality of the end product. A track and trace system can also automatically check on the contents of the incoming FIBCs and block the entry of additional bags if errors are discovered. www.dinnissen.nl
