Gebrüder Lödige Maschinenbau, Paderborn, Germany, will be demonstrating the versatility of its horizontal Ploughshare® mixers at this year’s POWTECH (Hall 5, Stand 222). Both an FKM batch mixer and a KM continuous mixer will be on display. Depending on the task in hand, the customer has a choice between various equipment options and sizes. Both machines are available with drum volumes of between 130 and 30,000 litres. Also on show will be the Type N 5 laboratory mixer with a drum volume of 5 litres, making it suitable for development of products and processes, as well as small-scale production. 

The batch and continuous mixer, as well as the laboratory mixer, all operate by the special mixing principle of the mechanically generated fluid bed developed by Lödige. The Ploughshare paddles rotate close to the wall of a horizontal cylindrical drum, ensuring that the complete product is constantly drawn into the mixing process. www.loedige.de
