The UK arm of Premier Tech Chronos, with European head office in Eersel, the Netherlands, has secured an order for a complete packing system from Carbery Food Ingredients for its Ballineen site, near Cork, Ireland. Scope of supply includes high-accuracy bottom-up bag filling with two dedicated dosing systems, compact palletiser, hygienic FIBC filling and a STRETCH-ALL stretch-hooder. The powders to be filled are nutritional and functional ingredients based on whey proteins which are supplied to leading manufacturers of foods, drinks and nutritional products all over the world.

Operating in a clean-room environment and designed to comply with the latest EHEDG standards, the OML-2040-BFH1 bottom-up filling system will pack high-value products into block bottomed paper bags with PE inner liners and pinch top closures. The filled bags will be transported to a CPL-600 palletiser, via a bag conveying system. An innovative STRETCH-ALL stretch hooding system will be incorporated for automatic hooding of pallet loads. To supplement the 25kg packing system Premier Tech Chronos is also supplying a clean-room FIBC filling system. More than 15 hygienic filling lines have been ordered from Premier Tech Chronos for the dairy industries in the last 18 months.
