28.07.2014 Noodle producer chooses twin-walled hygienic silos

At the beginning of last year Indonesian noodle producer Suprama placed an order with SCE Silo Construction and Engineering, Lichterveld, Belgium, for a total of seven flour silos and one starch silo for its plant in Sidoarjo, Indonesia. SCE engineers then designed the bin block with a capacity of 660m³ on a surface of 11.2 x 5.6m. The eight cells for this block were shipped on-time and assembled at the Indonesian site under the guidance of an SCE supervisor.
The silos were delivered on the agreed date in just four 40ft containers and one 20ft container. Because all silo components can be stacked, maximum use could be made of the available space during transport. Thanks to the double silo walls and an additional cover plate, temperature fluctuations in these silos are reduced to a minimum. There is consequently no risk of condensation and the stored products receive optimum protection.
For the past six years SCE has been applying the ISO 9001:2008 standard which meets the strictest quality requirements in the world. This is reassuring to a food producer such as Suprama and was a major factor in its decision to place the order with SCE. www.sce.be
