Process Components, Macclesfield, UK, has launched a new series of Mucon DSV double-flange slide valves following the success of its low cost SV range of single-flanged slide valves. The DSV is a simple and versatile slide valve which is especially suitable for controlling and isolating the flow of powders, granules and pellets in open discharge or in-line applications, including:

• In-line installation into pipes, ducts and hopper outlets.

• Open discharge from rigid or semi-rigid intermediate bulk containers, bins, hoppers 

or other storage vessels.

Unlike other manual slide valves, the DSV has tapered supports which are set at an angle to allow the blade to be easily adjusted. There is an anti-tamper locking facility which allows the user to lock or tag the valve in the closed position. This new valve will soon be available with a lightweight pneumatic actuator assembly which can easily be retrofitted. It will be officially launched at POWTECH (Stand 1-445) where a new range of Mucon roller gate valves will also be displayed.
