15.09.2014 Filled bags palletised and loaded to trucks by single machine

FLSmidth Ventomatic, Valbrembo, Italy, has developed the Flying Fork-Lift (FFL), a new and revolutionary patent-pending truck loading system. Combining efficient truck loading and storage of palletised bags, it guarantees a high level of automation and efficiency, reducing operational costs and enhancing productivity. The first prototype of the machine was submitted to intensive testing in 2013 and earlier this year units have been sold to India and Indonesia.
The FFL can function as a truck loader when a truck is present in the loading bay and as a palletizer for pallet storage when there are no trucks to be loaded. Pallet loads can be shifted by a forklift to storage ready to be repositioned on the truck loading section of the VENTOMATIC® Flying Fork-Lift once a new truck loading session is starting.
The FFL system has been designed for easy integration with existing installations. Supported by a simple steel structure it requires no significant civil engineering and all equipment is installed close to ground level. Operation is completely automatic, and only one supervisor is needed for control and monitoring. The system takes little time to install and commission as it is delivered pre-wired, pre-assembled and pre-tested.
