29.09.2014 Change of leadership at Matcon

Dave Cooper has with effect from 1st October taken over as managing director of Matcon, Evesham, UK, the globally recognised specialist in IBC-based systems for handling and processing powders, granules and tablets which in 2012 became part of US-based IDEX Corp. He succeeds Charles Lee who joined the company in 1991, working in sales, engineering and general management before becoming MD in 1997. During Lee’s tenure as chief executive Matcon achieved sustained growth and profitability. He has decided to step down in order to allow himself to devote slightly more time to his young family. However, he is not retiring and remains on the senior management team as executive director.
Cooper joined Matcon in 2002, working first in engineering, then sales and business development before joining the senior management team as operations director in 2008. He has played a prominent role in the company’s executive decision-making and strategic development for several years. www.matconibc.com
