06.10.2014 Precia Molen acquires Shering Weighing

Precia Molen, Privas, France, in August completed the acquisition of Shering Weighing Ltd, which is based in Dunfermline, Scotland. Founded in 1946 and with a current turnover in excess of £3 million, Shering is among the UK’s leading weighbridge manufacturers.  In recent years the company has gained a growing reputation in some export markets for weighbridges and driver operated systems.

Precia-Molen, which specialises in both static and dynamic weighing across a broad range of industries, is well positioned to deliver weighing solutions anywhere in the world with operating companies in 10 European countries as well as international operations in Brazil, Australia, India, Malaysia and Morocco supported by a network of agents. Chairman and managing director of the Precia-Molen Group René Colombel commented: “This exciting acquisition forms part of the group’s strategic development to grow the business globally.  Both companies share strong family values and this synergy makes Shering a perfect fit for our business.” www.preciamolen.com
