Haver & Boecker wins Lafarge award with ADAMS technology
Lafarge, a world leader in building materials, in recent weeks held its first ever global supplier competition. A total of seven categories were recognised in a ceremony which took place at its Paris headquarters. Haver & Boecker, Oelde, Germany, was the winner in the ‘sustainability’ category with its ADAMS® technology for filling powder-type products into watertight PE bags. The jury’s verdict was that the technology showed “an ability to operate in a sustainable manner, including the deployment of appropriate corrective actions”.
Thierry Metro, senior vice president energy & strategic sourcing at Lafarge, commented: “Suppliers play an important role in our operations, delivering value year after year and pushing the boundaries in terms of innovation and cost competitiveness”. Since 2005 Haver & Boecker has equipped six Lafarge Tarmac plants in Great Britain with 12 HAVER ADAMS filling systems. Lafarge Tarmac is a 50:50 joint venture between Lafarge SA and Anglo American Plc. www.haverboecker.com
