27.10.2014 Aerzen celebrates 150th anniversary

Aerzener Maschinenfabrik, Aerzen, Germany, earlier this year commemorated a century and a half of successful trading. As far back as 1868 the company launched into the continental European market the first positive displacement blower for compression of gas and in 1911 the range of products was extended by the introduction of turbo blowers. Another milestone in its history was the production of the first screw compressor in 1943, which has now become one of its most important products. In 1959 Aerzen supplied the 100,000th positive displacement blower and by that time the company had more than 600 employees. Subsidiary companies in France, England, USA and South Africa were established in the 1960s and currently it has 40 representative offices around the world.
With the new Delta Screw and Delta Blower series Aerzen gained new customer groups globally during the 1990s. A generation of innovative, particularly energy-efficient machines was launched on the market in 2010: with Delta Hybrid the company presented the first worldwide series of rotary lobe compressors offering energy savings of up to 15% compared to conventional compressors. At the beginning of this year the company extended the Delta Hybrid series with the introduction of the D152S and D152H models used in the upper volume flow range of 2,400 up to 9000m³/h with driving powers of up to 400kW. Applications include unloading of dusty bulk materials. www.aerzen.com
