After 15 successful years at Kalenborn, Michael W Rokitta, Dipl. Ing., Dipl. Kfm, has retired and hands over the running of the Vettelschoss, Germany, headquartered company to Markus Buscher Dipl. Ing. Last September Buscher had been appointed managing director of the company and at that time Rokitta announced plans to retire this year following a phased hand-over of executive responsibilities (see Industry News for week of 19 September 2011).

During Rokitta’s time as managing director of Kalenborn, the company developed into an internationally leading group for wear protection products based on mineral, ceramic and metallic materials. Support centres for the production and sale of wear protection linings and treatments have been successfully built up around the globe during the past 15 years. 

These efforts to expand customer service have resulted in new system solutions, extended fields of application and new regions for the sale of the company’s products. Dr Conrad Mauritz and Markus Buscher will carry on the management of the Kalenborn Group.
