AVA-Huep, Herrsching, Germany, reports that production of seed blends is emerging as a new application for its mixers. The company has just delivered the first compact system to an established German seed processing company. Centre-piece of the system is an AVA HTC 350 horizontal drier which is entirely fabricated from stainless steel. Scope of the contract included delivery of the entire steel structure, including the circuit and five movable containers for loading and discharge as well as docking systems.

The individual batch ingredients are filled into a movable container, which docks with the HTC 350, allowing the ingredients to be transferred into the mixer. After the components have been gently blended, the batch is emptied into a movable container docked to the underside of the mixer and transferred to the packing plant.
