Liftvrac, Geneston, France, has recently appointed Genesis Process Solutions based in Sandbach, Cheshire, as its agent for the UK and Ireland. The revolutionary Liftvrac hygienic inclined belt conveyor system (described in detail on p11 of the March/April 2014 EuroBulkSystems) was exhibited at last autumn’s PPMA Show in Birmingham. Phil Cameron, sales director of Genesis Process Solutions, commented: “We started to talk to Liftvrac some months before PPMA and convinced them that taking exhibition space was a good way of introducing the system to the UK markets. The level of good quality response was excellent with the number of companies requesting on-site trials well into double figures. We have now taken delivery of a Model S Liftvrac and already conducted on-site trials with some companies.”

The key component of the Liftvrac system is a polyurethane belt which forms a tube around the product and carries it gently the entire length of the elevation. It is suitable not only for handling powders and granulates but also individual items such as fish, cheese, pasta, meat as well as delicate confectionery, fruit, vegetables and even lettuces which are unsuitable for handling by any other type of bulk conveyor, whether mechanical or pneumatic. www.liftvrac.fr; www.genesisps.co.uk
