26.01.2015 Spiroflow opens state-of-the-art test plant

On 21st January Spiroflow Ltd officially opened its new Technology Centre in Clitheroe, UK, which is located on the same industrial park as the company’s head office and factory. The new and more extensive facility replaces an earlier test plant at Spiroflow’s main site, thereby freeing up urgently needed manufacturing space to meet growing export sales of its wide range of powder conveyors, FIBC fillers/dischargers and other bulk handling equipment. The opening ceremony was performed by Councillor Michael Ranson, Mayor of Ribble Valley.

The new test plant, which also incorporates a sophisticated powder characterisation and testing laboratory, is almost certainly the most comprehensive of its type in the UK and among the most advanced in Europe. Chairman Michel Podevyn commented: “Spiroflow already has a well deserved reputation for technical excellence and commitment to customer satisfaction, supported by our rigorous testing programme that weeds out potential handling problems at a very early stage. Demand for our conveying and discharging systems is continually increasing in both domestic and global markets and we are delighted about the combination of experience, scientific expertise and testing facilities that makes our new Technology Centre unique in the sector and enables us to meet this growing demand with renewed vigour and confidence.” www.spiroflow.com
