11.06.2012 Guerin Systems plays host to food industry A-list

Following previous highly successful symposia in the series — Rennes (France) in 2001, Cork (Ireland) in 2004, San Francisco (USA) in 2007, and Melbourne (Australia) in 2009 — the forthcoming IDF/INRA international symposium on spray-dried dairy products is to be held in Saint-Malo, France, 19-21 June 2012.

For the very first time, the 2012 event is being organised by INRA, the French National Institute for Agricultural Research in collaboration with IDF, the International Dairy Federation. The symposium aims to bring together research and industry leaders to share ideas and information about new developments in two complementary fields of science and technology: the manufacture of dairy powders and the functionality of these products as food ingredients.

The event will include a visit on 18 June to the premises of Guerin Systems, the powder handling specialist, notably its advanced test laboratory and process development centre, also known as the Powder Institute. By beginning of June over 100 participants from around the world had already registered for the Guerin Systems site visit, including Nestlé, Frontera, Arla Foods, Ingredia, Laita, Friesland Campina, Wyeth, Régilait, and Eurial.
