23.03.2015 Unique milling concept to be featured at Achema

Frewitt, Granges-Paccot, Switzerland, will give pride of place at Achema to its revolutionary FreDrive milling system which the company launched just over a year ago (see EBS News for week of 3 March 2014). FreDrive is much more than a machine for size reduction or sifting of solids which are processed in pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries. It makes possible what was previously unachievable: adjusting production levels and requirement via different milling processes with changeovers performed in record time. Within minutes up to five different grinding heads can be attached, either for primary crushing, de-agglomeration, granulation, fine grinding or control screening on the universal  platform, which combines the control and drive units.

This unique system can mill sticky, hard, or crystalline powder with widely varying product characteristics gently and reliably. The user has the option of docking the mill anywhere in the production area to bring the device to the desired height with a touch of a button, and to easily integrate into an existing or new system in an open or closed application. FreDrive will be demonstrated on the Frewitt stand (Hall 3.1, Booth F3) at Achema, Frankfurt, 15-19 June. www.frewitt.com
