On 29 May, Haver & Boecker Holding GmbH, headquartered in Oelde, Germany, signed an agreement in Paris to acquire 100% of the shares of Newtec Bag Palletizing from Newtec International Group SA. Newtec Bag Palletizing is an internationally respected manufacturer of automatic palletising systems with headquarters in Illzach, France. It has over 1200 references, mainly in the chemical, agricultural and building materials industries and will become an independently operating company within the Haver & Boecker Group.

This acquisition significantly strengthens the group which now, together with subsidiaries which include IBAU, Feige Filling and Behn + Bates, will be able to deliver complete storage, packing and loading systems of premium quality for bulk materials and liquids– everything from a single supplier. With this reinforcement, the Haver & Boecker Group now feels it is well equipped to compete with European quality, especially against the growing competition from India.
