Sweco, Florence, KY, the specialist manufacturer of screening and separation equipment, has introduced the next generation lift system for screen changes, the QuickChange PT (QCPT).  This pneumatically powered lifting device is operated by simply turning a switch, making screen changing a one-man operation.
 

With the QCPT, changing round separator screens is fast, easy and safe. The system features two air cylinders that are self-contained within towers mounted independently on each side of the unit. The end of the cylinder rods rises up from the towers to engage a bracket on the cover or frame and lift the frame stack. Safety features include motor start-up interlock, slow raise and lower cylinders and an internally adjustable pressure regulator. The QCPT has a smaller footprint than previous generation systems and is available in both carbon and stainless steel for 48 and 60in units.
