25.05.2015 Extended range of bulk truck loaders, also with screening capability

Van Beek, Drunen, the Netherlands, has introduced two new longer-reach versions of its Dino® bulk truck loader. The XL and XXL were initially developed at the request of two customers, but have now been added to the range. The standard Dino has a delivery height of 4.2m, but the XL can reach up to 5m and the XXL up to 6m. It is now also possible to screen products and, because of the extra height, there is room to fit a vibrating or rotary screen.

A site operated by Katoen Natie in the US needed a mobile loader of this type to load plastic pellets into railcars. The cube shape of the cars meant that the frame of the inclined feed screw of the standard Dino would collide with the upper edges of the car. For this reason a higher outlet of the Dino was needed. This machine is also suitable for loading tall tanks or silos.

As for the XXL Dino, the extra height has been achieved by extending the screw. It was developed for Nuttens Services in France which specialises in packaging, processing and transport of powdered foods. Nuttens wanted a vibrating screen with several screen decks to use on the outlet side. The XXL Dino is used to load gluten and the screen is required to remove any impurities. Both machines have a loading capacity of 40m³/h and are made from SS304. www.van-beek.nl
