13.07.2015 Force measurement instrumentation fit for today’s requirements

According to Penko Engineering, Ede, the Netherlands, new force measuring instruments need to provide more functions and features, be smaller and offer greater value for money. The company has risen to this challenge by launching the new Type 1020-FMD product range. These instruments are suitable for automatic as well non automatic applications. They are said to offer a perfect interface between load cells with an integrated controller to the system for data processing. The unique Penko way of measuring high speed 1600 conversions/s, and high internal resolution, 24 bits, guarantees a fast and accurate data transfer and/or cut off. These characteristics allow application of the instruments for static and dynamic force measurement as well as for destructive material tests.  These applications are supported with zero adjustment, track recording, hold/peakhold/valleyhold and overload protection.

As standard, all models are provided with USB to facilitate set-up and back-up functions. Additional models include RS232, RS485/422, Ethernet, CANBUS and Profibus. The range is completed with an analogous output, 0/4 – 20/24mA. Easy and fast calibration is performed digitally. www.penko.com
