03.08.2015 Spiroflow twice honoured

Spiroflow, Clitheroe, UK, is celebrating a double achievement after winning two ‘company of the year’ awards in a matter of months. Earlier this year it had been singled out for recognition by SHAPA (the UK’s Solids Handling and Processing Association) and in June it received the accolade from Food Processing magazine. In the three years of 2011/14 Spiroflow reported a 35% increase in sales, and it is on target for a further 20% increase this year.

Marketing director Cathy Podevyn commented: “It has made me realise just how much we have achieved over the last three years: good profits, steady sales growth (particularly exports), a solid and growing bank of key customers, and a new technology centre for testing and machine demonstration.” She went on: “Above all I am grateful to the strong team of long-serving colleagues who have made our success possible through good times and not so good, and for the young team that will propel us forward in the future.” Recruiting graduates from universities in the area, Spiroflow provides opportunities for aspiring design engineers in the region as well as training a new generation of sales engineers, marketing and IT staff. www.spiroflow.com
