STIF, Saint-Georges-sur-Loire, France, has launched an ATEX, EC certified flame arrester which has been designed to fit the curvature of cylindrical and round vessels. This development is believed to be a market first. The VIGILEX VQ can be produced with a curved base to match the radius of the vessel. The inside vent panel is also curved to provide a perfect connection with the body of the VQ. The VQ is installed directly on the round vessel without need for any other flange or expensive duct pipe.
