J-Tec Material Handling, Kapellen, Belgium, has opened a business location in Houston, Texas, following the earlier establishment of similar subsidiaries in Thailand and Brazil. This milestone event for the company can be seen as a logical sequel following the international successes it has been experiencing over the past 45 years. Ever since its acquisition by Katoen Natie in 1999, it has witnessed substantial growth in overseas inquiries that have resulted in many greenfield and turnkey references worldwide. Katoen Natie is a global logistics player with over 150 terminals and logistics platforms in more than 26 countries spread over five continents. In the United States, Katoen Natie is well represented with different business hubs in five different states. Such presence provides an enormous advantage for J-Tec as every facility has the required infrastructure already in place.
