Modern Process Equipment, Chicago, IL, has introduced a smaller version of its Chain-Vey mass flow tubular drag conveyor. The Mega 3 Chain-Vey utilises 3in diameter high-strength polymer discs to move products swiftly and gently with minimal degradation. With a capacity of 300 cubic feet per hour (or approximately 2700kg/h) it can transport powders and granules in a combination of horizontal, inclined or vertical planes. It is said to use 80% less energy than traditional pneumatic conveying systems of comparable capacity.
