Upgraded weigh module for high-accuracy requirements
Mettler Toledo, Nänikon, Switzerland, reports that the operational scope of its SWB505 MultiMount™ weigh module – designed for tank, silo and conveyor weighing within the 110-4400kg capacity range – has now been extended to meet higher accuracy requirements, with OIML C6 approvals that allow legal-for-trade weighing up to 6000e (or in other words, 6000 divisions for Europe). For the USA it received an NTEP IIIM approval for legal-for-trade applications with a resolution of up to 10,000 divisions.
The MTB and 0745A stainless-steel beam load cells inside the SWB505 unit are also available on their own without the force introduction and mounting parts of the weigh module. That allows machine builders to use these extremely accurate load cells to design their own high-accuracy weighing devices, which perfectly fit into their machines. Level feet, mounting plates and rocker pins are available for seamless integration and help achieve the desired accuracy.
