Measurement kit for powder flow
LPW Technology, Runcorn, UK, specialising in development, manufacture and supply of metal powders for the additive manufacturing industry, has launched a new product line called POWDERFLOW™. This is a comprehensive measurement kit which allows users quickly to characterise the powder flow to known ASTM standards. LPW, with its extensive experience, is aware that some customers may confuse machine problems with powder problems and vice versa, resulting in significant time and cost being wasted before a fault is remedied. Therefore POWDERFLOW has been developed to solve this problem. The device can determine the following: apparent density ASTM B212, angle of repose, Hall flow ASTM B213 and Carney flow ASTM B964.
