Bürkle GmbH has introduced the SiloDrill, a robust sampling tool designed to collect representative all-layer samples from bulk solids stored in tanks and silos. As bulk materials often segregate during transport and storage, consistent sampling through all layers is essential for accurate quality, composition, and property analysis.

The SiloDrill is engineered to pass through silo openings as small as 90 mm and is suitable even for non-flowing bulk materials. Its sturdy construction includes a spring-loaded inner tube to prevent jamming and a T-handle that facilitates easy operation of the sampling chamber.

Manufactured from stainless steel 1.4301 (V2A), the SiloDrill offers excellent chemical resistance, making it suitable for use in chemically demanding environments. An aluminium version is also available for applications where lower weight and cost are priorities.

This sampler is used across several industries. In agriculture, it is suitable for grain, seed, fertiliser, and animal feed sampling. In the food and chemical sectors, it serves for powdered and granulated materials stored in silos.
