Malaysia has ordered the first installation of a high-capacity, rail-travelling Siwertell ship unloader.

Siwertell ship unloader.

Bruks Siwertell received the order from Westports Malaysia Sdn. The installation will handle soya bean meal, wheat, maize, soya beans, and raw sugar.

Depending on material characteristics, the system offers a rated capacity of 800–1,000 tonnes per hour. In a press statement, Bruks Siwertell said: “It establishes an important new reference deployment in Southeast Asia’s port and dry bulk handling sector.”

The system is due to be delivered by summer 2027.
