HAVER & BOECKER has enhanced its flagship ROTO‑PACKER® RVT rotary packing machine with new intelligent features designed to deliver cleaner, faster and more efficient bagging for cement, building materials and chemical producers.
The company has confirmed that its patented ROTO‑LOCK® dosing unit is now a standard component on all new ROTO‑PACKER RV models, significantly reducing dust emissions and product loss during filling.
When combined with the optional ROTO‑FEED® airless rotary feeder, the system provides a markedly cleaner process — up to 70% cleaner than traditional slide‑gate dosing systems — while enabling up to 8% faster filling. The improvements support both environmental and operational sustainability by lowering dust exposure, reducing wear and cutting spare‑parts consumption.
“Less dust around the machine is better for the environment, the people working at the operation and, of course, the bottom line,” said Mirko Hoffman, Head of Sales – Cement. “Making the ROTO‑LOCK® a standard feature on our ROTO‑PACKER® RVT just makes sense.”
The ROTO‑PACKER RVT is equipped with up to 16 filling spouts and can fill 1,000 to 6,000 bags per hour. Standard features include an intelligent ventilation system, Siemens TIA Portal control, status‑indicating illumination and MEC 4.0 weighing electronics tailored to bagging applications.
The ROTO‑LOCK®’s shaft‑sealed design fully closes the dosing gate after each fill, with a rubber interface preventing dust escape as the carousel rotates. Reduced abrasion extends service intervals and lowers maintenance costs. The optional ROTO‑FEED® further minimises dust during product feeding.
For fully automated lines, the RVT can be paired with the AMICUS® DEPAL, RADIMAT® bag applicator and AMICUS® PAL palletiser. Existing installations can be upgraded with Performance+ Kits for ROTO‑LOCK® and ROTO‑FEED® to improve efficiency and reduce energy use.
