Daudin expands Fieldbus Modular Remote I/O Series for digital transformation
Daudin has announced the UK availability of its expanded iO‑GRID X modular remote I/O series, strengthening the company’s offering for manufacturers and systems integrators pursuing smarter, more connected industrial operations.
Designed to simplify digital transformation on the factory floor, the iO‑GRID X platform provides extensive protocol support, flexible configuration options, and robust industrial performance.
The iO‑GRID X family enables OEMs and automation specialists to integrate digitalisation into machinery and plant systems with ease. Remote I/O architectures significantly reduce wiring effort, free up valuable control panel space, lower material costs, and improve scalability.
With only a single network and power connection required per station, the system offers a streamlined way to connect sensors, actuators, and other field devices across a wide range of industries, from automated manufacturing and logistics to building automation.
Supporting major industrial Ethernet protocols—including EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP, and CC‑Link IE Field Basic—the fieldbus coupler modules deliver communication speeds up to 100 Mbps. Each module incorporates dual RJ45 ports and an integrated two‑port Ethernet switch, enabling straightforward daisy‑chain expansion. Clear LED indicators and USB‑C firmware upgrade capability further enhance usability.
More than 20 I/O module types are available, covering discrete, analogue, temperature, serial communication, high‑speed counter, and pulse output requirements. Options include 16‑ or 32‑channel digital modules, 4‑ or 8‑channel analogue modules with up to 16‑bit resolution, and dedicated RTD and thermocouple modules.
All units operate reliably between ‑10°C and +60°C and mount securely on DIN rails using gold‑plated spring‑loaded connectors to ensure stable module‑to‑module communication.
Installation and maintenance are simplified through detachable terminal blocks, push‑in wiring, and high‑density IDC options. The series is CE and UL certified, with two 24 VDC power supply sizes available to support varying system loads.
Daudin’s remote I/O solutions, including the iO‑GRID X range, empower integrators and equipment builders to create efficient, scalable, and future‑ready control systems. Alongside its standard offering, the company provides extensive customisation across hardware, firmware, software, branding, and application‑specific design to support the development of intelligent, connected industrial technologies.
