VRAYKOS has announced a new collaboration with KALLAS Incorporation.
As part of its ongoing growth strategy, KALLAS is developing its first dedicated production unit at its Oinofyta facility in Greece for the manufacture of protein mixtures.
To support this significant milestone, the company selected VRAYKOS to design and deliver a bespoke smart mixing system tailored to the specific requirements of its products, manufacturing processes and available production space.
The new installation comprises a bag emptying and sieving station, a 1,000-litre AMK mixer, and a next-generation weighing and bagging station equipped with a semi-automatic sewing machine.
The system also incorporates a metal detector for enhanced quality control, a PLC-based automation platform with industrial HMI, as well as recipe management and data analytics capabilities.
Engineered to meet the highest standards of hygiene and performance, the solution delivers exceptional product homogenisation, mixing times of up to five minutes and simplified cleaning procedures. It is also designed to handle complex formulations and challenging, difficult-flowing materials with reliability and precision.
With a weighing accuracy of ±25g and automated dosing and bagging systems capable of filling and sealing 20kg bags in around 30 seconds, the facility has been optimised for efficiency, productivity and consistency.
A notable challenge within the project was the integration of the entire system into a confined production area. This required meticulous layout planning, precise mechanical engineering and the seamless integration of all processing stages.
This project further highlights VRAYKOS’ expertise in advanced process engineering, turnkey project delivery and customised bulk handling solutions for the food manufacturing sector.
