ACMON Systems and Greek food manufacturer MANNA Tsatsaronaki have announced a new phase in their long-standing collaboration through the redevelopment of the historic Katselis facility.
The project was highlighted on 1 July and centres on modern bulk ingredient handling and processing technologies.
The upgraded facility will incorporate advanced systems for receiving, storing, conveying and dosing bulk raw materials used in large-scale production.
Efficient handling of flour and other powdered ingredients remains critical to maintaining product consistency while supporting higher production volumes.
According to information released with the announcement, the project builds on a partnership spanning more than 25 years and aims to establish a new benchmark for bakery manufacturing in Greece and wider European markets. Modern automation will enable tighter process control while improving ingredient traceability and operational efficiency.
Food manufacturers are increasingly investing in enclosed handling systems capable of reducing contamination risks and limiting material losses during transfer. Such technologies also support improved workplace hygiene and compliance with increasingly stringent food safety requirements.
The redevelopment demonstrates how bulk solids handling continues to play a central role in food production. Reliable movement and processing of powders, flakes and granular ingredients directly influences production quality, waste reduction and manufacturing productivity.
Once fully operational, the facility is expected to strengthen MANNA Tsatsaronaki’s production capability while showcasing the benefits of integrated material handling systems designed specifically for modern food processing environments.
