Bühler Group has announced its leadership succession plans for 2026, reinforcing its commitment to long-term continuity as a family-owned business.

As of January 2026, Samuel Schär is set to become CEO. Schär has been with Bühler for 20 years, having led the Nanotechnology business unit, the Grinding & Dispersing division, and most recently served as Chief Services & Sales Officer.

At the 2026 Annual General Meeting, the Board of Directors will also propose Stefan Scheiber as the new Chairman. Scheiber brings 35 years of experience within Bühler, including 10 years as CEO and two decades in Group Management. He will succeed Calvin Grieder, who will step down after 25 years of leadership across several roles.

This transition supports the long-term strategy initiated by Urs Bühler and continued by the fifth generation of the Bühler family, ensuring the company’s future as a stable, family-owned global technology provider.
