Bühler launches next generation processing technologies
Bühler has announced a suite of new and upgraded processing technologies at Interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf, showcasing advances in hygienic design, digitalisation and energy efficiency across its food, feed and advanced‑materials portfolio.
A highlight of the exhibition is Lucent, Bühler’s new cocoa‑nib roaster, which delivers up to 20% higher throughput while reducing energy consumption by at least 20% compared with its predecessor.
The system features a fully sealed product path, stainless‑steel construction and predictive, self‑learning controls to ensure consistent roasting quality.
Bühler also introduced the Finer S Edition 26 five‑roll refiner and the ELK S Edition 26 single‑shaft conche, both redesigned to improve usability, hygiene, transparency and operational efficiency. These upgrades support chocolate and confectionery manufacturers seeking greater reliability and reduced cleaning downtime.
Additional innovations include modular chocolate‑mass processing lines, enhanced bakery‑oven technologies and new AI‑enabled control systems aimed at improving yield and reducing waste. Bühler emphasises that these developments respond to rising global demands for traceability, sustainability and production agility.
