Bühler has introduced a new generation of its high‑capacity grain‑handling line, designed to improve the processing and distribution of cereals, pulses and granular food ingredients across European milling and food‑manufacturing sites.

The upgraded system features enhanced inlet conditioning, redesigned conveying channels and a new low‑energy aspiration module that reduces dust emissions by up to 30%. Bühler says the improvements address rising customer demand for cleaner, more efficient handling of free‑flowing solids, particularly in facilities managing wheat, barley, maize and speciality grains.

The line incorporates precision flow‑control gates and automated sampling points to ensure consistent product quality and traceability. Its modular layout allows operators to integrate sieving, cleaning, de‑stoning and optical sorting stages without major plant redesigns. Bühler notes that the system is optimised for both greenfield installations and retrofits in older mills seeking higher throughput.

European processors are increasingly investing in modernised grain‑handling infrastructure to meet stricter hygiene standards and reduce operational energy use. Bühler expects strong uptake from manufacturers supplying bakery, brewing, starch and plant‑protein markets, where stable material flow and reduced contamination risk are critical.

The company says the new line supports long‑term sustainability goals by lowering power consumption and improving dust containment, helping operators comply with tightening workplace‑air regulations. Commercial deliveries begin this summer, with several pilot installations already underway in Germany and the Netherlands
