Coperion appoints Stefan Lachenmayer as new Managing Director Recycling
Coperion has announced the appointment of Stefan Lachenmayer as its new Managing Director Recycling, marking an important step in the company’s strategic focus on advancing plastics recycling technologies. Lachenmayer, who joined Coperion in 2007 and most recently held the position of Director of Sales – Aftermarket Performance Materials, brings deep expertise in plastics processing, recycling systems and customer-focused engineering solutions.
In his new role, Lachenmayer aims to accelerate the development of innovative process technologies that strengthen recycling efficiency and contribute to global waste reduction. He emphasises that Coperion, together with Herbold Meckesheim, is uniquely positioned to deliver integrated solutions covering the entire recycling value chain. “It’s impressive to see how closely we have grown together,” he says. “Our partnership allows us to offer comprehensive solutions that provide recyclers with clear added value.”
Reflecting on the success of K 2025, Lachenmayer highlights the strong industry response to Coperion’s latest advancements. “K show was an outstanding event for us. It provided a great opportunity to showcase our innovative solutions to a broad audience,” he notes.
