GEA introduces next generation Cyclone separator for powder processing
GEA has launched a next‑generation Cyclone separator aimed at improving powder recovery and air‑filtration efficiency in food, dairy and chemical processing plants.
The new Cyclone is engineered to deliver higher separation efficiency while reducing pressure drop, resulting in lower energy consumption.
The redesigned unit features optimised internal geometry that enhances particle capture across a wide range of powder types, including fine, cohesive and irregularly shaped materials. GEA reports that the system can be integrated into spray‑drying, pneumatic conveying and general dust‑extraction applications.
Constructed from stainless steel with smooth internal surfaces, the cyclone supports hygienic operation and rapid cleaning. Optional instrumentation allows operators to monitor performance and schedule maintenance proactively.
GEA expects the new cyclone to appeal to processors seeking improved yield, reduced emissions and compliance with increasingly stringent hygiene standards.
