Loss-in-weight feeder on display
At the forthcoming K 2025 show in Düsseldorf (8-15 October), Qlar (formerly Schenck Process) will showcase its Simplex FB loss-in-weight feeder, designed for continuous and reliable dosing of various materials. The company will highlight its contributions to sustainable materials processing at booth G46 in hall 10, focusing on the efficient flow of materials in recycling and processing systems.
Qlar is committed to supporting the green transformation and digitalisation of materials processing, promoting sustainable processes that align with climate neutrality goals for 2050. At K 2025, the company will demonstrate how combining advanced hardware with intelligent digital integration can enhance productivity, minimise downtime, and optimise material flow in recycling and processing applications.
A key feature of the exhibition is the Simplex FB feeder, a gravimetric, stainless-steel unit that handles a wide range of materials, including glass, carbon fibres, plastic flakes, and recycled materials. Its design, featuring a bottom-driven agitator, makes it particularly effective for processing post-consumer materials, such as regrinds or difficult-to-dose plastic flakes. The feeder’s integrated sensor system provides real-time data, enabling efficient operation and early detection of potential blockages, ultimately improving process reliability.
