Bunting Magnetics has appointed David Summers as European Quality Manager, reinforcing its commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance across its operations. With extensive experience in quality management, Summers holds chartered status with both the IMechE and CQI, and is trained in Lean Six Sigma and leadership.

Since joining the company in March 2025, Summers has focused on process optimisation and enhancing collaboration across Bunting’s supply chain. He recently led a cross-functional team in addressing a complex aerospace project involving a 4-pole SmCo magnetic assembly, where high-precision tolerances and specialist measurement techniques were critical.

Working with QCI Group, a metrology and quality engineering specialist, Summers coordinated a review of inspection methods, leading to a more efficient and cost-effective measurement process.

In his new role, Summers will lead Bunting’s European Quality Team, supporting improvements in magnet and assembly design, production, and client satisfaction.
