Ajax Equipment has delivered two new screw augers to AMG Chrome, replacing components that have been in continuous service for nearly two decades at the company’s Rotherham manufacturing facility. The augers form part of an Ajax screw feeder used in handling speciality metals, alloys and related materials, where reliability and durability are essential to consistent production.

AMG Chrome project manager Michael Channer praised both the quality of the equipment and the customer support: “The experience was outstanding… their team were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, answering all our questions and guiding us through the best options for our needs. The screws themselves are manufactured to a high quality… Ajax takes pride in offering durable, reliable equipment.” He added that AMG Chrome will look to Ajax again for future requirements.

Ajax managing director Eddie McGee highlighted the company’s application-focused engineering approach, noting that metal powders and other challenging materials require tailored designs grounded in rigorous materials testing.
