17.04.2023 Gough launches rental service

Material handling specialists Gough Engineering has launched a hire service to help manufacturers integrate sieves, screens and separators into their production lines. The service gives companies the opportunity to test the equipment before making a big investment. Equipment hirers can also benefit from Gough Engineering’s support and consultation to help overcome production issues, avoid unnecessary costs and secure a good return on investment (ROI).

Based in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Staffordshire, UK, Gough Engineering designs, manufactures and supplies vibrating sieves, screens and separators. Its equipment aids a wide range of material handling applications within several sectors, including the pharmaceutical and food industries. Material handling systems that are available to hire as part of the service include the Gough linear vibratory screen (GLVS), the Gough Batch Sieve (GBS), as well as the Gough Vibrecon Vibratory Separator (GVC) and Gough Vibraflo Vibratory Screen (GVF). A typical renting period can last from two weeks up to six months.

“With the option to ‘try before they buy,’ businesses can be assured they are investing in the best bespoke material handling solution for their requirements,” said Stephen Harding, managing director at Gough Engineering. “The hire service is ideal for manufacturers that are either developing a new production process, completing a temporary production run, or expanding their line.”

As part of its hire service, Gough Engineering provides an assessment of the customers’ needs before supplying the equipment. That includes classifying and sieving dry products in its own on-site laboratory, to determine which machinery will best suit the hirer’s equipment needs.

Renting equipment offers several financial benefits. It removes the upfront cost of buying equipment outright, and the need to re-configure bought machinery because rented equipment can instead be used as a ‘test’ installation. Gough Engineering can help install and integrate the equipment as an additional service or offer additional support from its experienced engineers during the rental period.

“Our rental service is ideal for manufacturers that are looking for a short- or longer-term commitment,” added Harding. “Businesses can integrate the rented machinery fully into their production line and thoroughly test its performance. In doing so, they can be confident ahead of a big investment.”
