22.07.2013 Crawler-mounted boom stacker

Earlier this year Samson Materials Handling, Ely, UK, introduced a wheeled version of its Stormajor® boom stacker. The company, which recently became a subsidiary of Germany’s Aumund Group, has now launched the BF40415T which is mounted on tracks, thereby offering unrivalled manoeuvrability.  It can be used for stockpiling, barge loading, ship loading and railcar loading, handling bulk materials in difficult terrain with densities up to 1.6t/m³ and at a throughput of up to 625m³/h.

The unit is equipped with a folding 15m boom which, along with its compact design, enables it to be deployed and operational within minutes of being delivered to site. It is easily operated by means of its remote control umbilical or optional radio control module. The Stormajor BF0415T can also be supplied with an interchangeable 20m boom. www.aumund.com
