06.01.2014 Integrated cocoa blending line in Thailand

J-Tec Material Handling, Kapellen, Belgium, has designed and built a complete blending line, installed at four different levels, at the Samutprakan plant of a leading Thai manufacturer of cocoa products. On the upper level several receiving hoppers are fed by different pneumatic conveying lines and here the entire existing structure had to be raised to accommodate additional screw conveyors.

On the second level products are dosed into a double-shafted paddle mixer. At the penultimate level a vibratory sifter, together with an additional metal separator, removes any irregularities from the mixed product. At the final stage of the process the product is collected into four receiving hoppers and is equally distributed by means of a clever arrangement of three screw conveyors which ensure continuous product flow. Two years ago J-Tec opened its Asian headquarters in Bangkok, a factor which helped the company secure this major contract. www.j-tec.com
