Guided wave radar offers extensive level measurement capability
Siemens Industry Automation Division, Nuremberg, Germany, has introduced the new series of Sitrans LG guided wave radar transmitters which are suitable for virtually any type of industrial application. The modular design of the four basic versions – Sitrans LG240, LG250, LG260 and LG270 – with multiple configuration options, allow for level measurement in oil and gas, chemical, pharmaceutical as well as food and beverage industries.
The LG240, which has the required EHEDG, FDA and 3A certification, was specifically designed for hygienic applications in the pharmaceutical, food and beverage industries; the LG250 is said to be ideal for a broad range of liquid level measurement; the LG260 accurately measures levels of solids, granulates and powders even with extreme dust; and for particularly harsh environments with temperatures up to 450°C or high pressures up to 400 bar, the LG270 is said to be the best choice. www.siemens.com/sitransLG
