Export success of Heinz proportions
Matching the legendary figure of 57 varieties of tinned food produced in bygone times by H J Heinz, Primasonics International, Penrith, UK, has just notched up its fifty-seventh export country with the despatch of a consignment of acoustic cleaners to Bangladesh. They were ordered by a major cement group to solve the problem of side wall build-up inside cement silos. Managing director Don Cameron commented: “It is a wonderful achievement for our company to have exported our range of acoustic cleaners to 57 different countries worldwide – from Norway to Nigeria, from Ethiopia to Australia and from Argentina to South Korea”.
The company receives requests from a wide range of industries to solve common problems such as silo material build-up, ash build-up in power plants and removal of particulate from electrostatic precipitators, filters and fans. Although power generation and cement remain major markets for the company’s products, it is also involved in food, pharmaceutical, chemical, carbon black and petro-chemical industries. www.primasonics.com
