Mettler Toledo, Nänikon, Switzerland, has launched its state-of-the-art SWB605 PowerMount™ weigh module which has been designed to be easy to install, is of rugged construction, has built-in safety features and provides continuous load cell monitoring. Without the kind of continuous monitoring offered by POWERCELL®, errors such as load cell overload, poor communication between modules, out-of-symmetry errors and out-of-range temperatures can go unnoticed for long periods, resulting in off-spec batches and poor quality product. Significant costs and damage to a company’s reputation can occur.

SWB605 PowerMount POWERCELL-equipped load cells with on-board microprocessors not only alert operators to deteriorating performance, they also adjust the weighing signal to compensate for environmental changes. This allows the weigh modules to provide accurate weighing regardless of the effects of temperature, linearity, hysteresis and creep.
